this isn’t a personal post this is an irritated about ships post don’t feel obligated to read it bc you, yes you, probably like this ship
I think it would be silly for someone to get upset at you for this! I love Steph/Cass, but the only reasons I’d get hurt or mad at someone for not shipping them is if the reasons given were heterosexist/sexist/racist/other-ist in nature… you definitely raise really valid points here. And I do have to admit that Steph and Cass do not treat each other all that well in most of their appearances. Steph is constantly belittling Cass, Cass is very controlling of Steph, etc. They have a lot of problems. (And for that reason, while I read them as being into each other for most of the time after their first meeting, I can’t really imagine them being in a relationship until after Cass is Blackbat and Steph is Batgirl because I think both those things helped them develop past a lot of their past problems)
I run the s/c tumblr and I have to admit I haven’t brought up any of these issues there yet because, well, it’s a really new tumblr and I don’t want to drive people away too soon. I plan to eventually. I’m sorry you had to block it but it would be outrageous to get upset by it. Seeing things related to the ship upsets you (and for perfectly valid reasons, I might add) and you have every right to shield yourself from getting upset.
